Dear Mr. Cohen,

We just wanted to say to you how fortunate we are to have been able to work with Scott. This project involved construction of an addition to an older home for our new kitchen. We brought Scott the plans our architect drew up and Scott came up with an amazing design. That was the easy part. Unfortunately, this project was frought with mistakes and setbacks due to miscommunication between our contractor and our architect. The result was that after Scott came out for the first actual site measurements we were told by him that his measurements were not even close to the plans that we had initially given him. We were left with a much narrower, slightly shorter version of the structure we had agreed upon. There was a mistake resulting in the foundation being poured according to a previous version of the plans, rather than the final one. It was devastating finding that out that our dream kitchen was becomming a nightmare. We were left with much less counter space and less cabinetry, not to mention that the whole symmetry was now off.

We were told by our architect that it would be "fixed"  but the fact is that it could not be restored to the previous dimensions although did gain back some of the width that we had lost. There were many times throughout this ordeal that we were nearly in tears, not to mention the sleepless nights.

Through every step of the way, Scott spent countless hours revising the plans and reassuring us that we would still have our dream kitchen. Now as we near the end of this journey we can start to see his vision in the execution of his design. We cannot imagine how anyone else could have guided us through this journey. We cannot count the number of times we came to the showroom almost frantic, only to leave reassured.

Scott is a uniquely talented designer/architect and simply a great guy. His genuine enthusiasm for what he does shows through his attention to detail. This project simply would never have been possible were it not for him.

I just wanted to let you know that the kitchen is officially done! I cannot thank you enough for all your help in transforming our 1980s kitchen into a beautiful 21st century kitchen. From our first visit to the Solid Wood Cabinet Company show room all the way through the installation of the granite countertops the project moved right along. The design that you drafted for us was even more than what I was hoping for. I have so much more storage and workspace than I ever had. The cabinets and granite countertops are beautiful. The quality of the cabinets speaks for themselves. We knew going into this project that it was going to be a big undertaking especially with doing it ourselves. With your help, we now have a kitchen that is worthy of a designer showplace but the best part is the sticker price was so affordable.

On May 17, 2012, Oscar and Emerson installed our granite counter-tops. I could not have asked for a better job from a better team. Oscar and Emerson were knowledgeable, polite, kind and hardworking! Even though, I received a call from the customer service department the night before letting me know the approximate instillation time, Emerson called me mid-afternoon to provide me with a definitive time. They arrived within five minutes of the specified time! Emerson and Oscar did a wonderful job with the install. They worked so hard, matching the seams in the sink area (you can't even see the seams)!!! They also answered all of my questions about sealing the granite and how to do it! As Emerson was working on the sink, Oscar took the time to teach me how to seal, how often and what to use! My husband and I were and still are impressed with their work. No shortcuts were taken and the counter-tops, bar and under-mounted sink look fantastic! I hope that Emerson and Oscar are able to come back to finish our back-splash! If not, I look forward to working with the next team.

I hope some one at Solid Wood Cabinets takes the time to recognize Emerson and Oscar! They were great. Because of them and the job that they did, my husband and I will gladly, without reservation, recommend Solid Wood Cabinets to everyone!

A few words about my experience below:
When I received my Society Hill cabinets, I was pleased to see that they were actually as beautiful as the ones pictured on Solid Wood Cabinets website. I was further pleased to discover that their dimensions and squareness were exact, essential to achieve a professional installed result.These cabinets are solidly manufactured and look just as good as expensive cabinets that you would get through a contractor. I encourage anyone considering undertaking assembling and installing their own cabinets, to go ahead and do it; not only for the thousands of dollars that they will save, but for the joy and self-satisfaction as a result of having done the project with their own two hands!
